Back when I was in high school, I had to read The Great Gatsby. I remember I loved it. So when I had to write the essay about one of the themes of the book, I wrote about how white was used all the way through the book. (Yes, watching the trailer I noticed it’s still prevalent.) And now we have the newest version of it, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. I think that Leo does amazing in older types of movies, I’m thinking more like The Titanic. I can’t wait until this one comes out!
The synopsis goes like this: Nick Carraway, a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.
The movie hits theaters on May 10, 2013.
